Climate Saathi Initiative
Climate Saathi Initiative (in collaboration with Climate READY India) fosters emotionally safe, inclusive, and regenerative spaces for children (13–17) and youth (18–25) from climate-vulnerable and marginalized communities. It equips them to process climate emotions, boost eco-literacy, and lead local climate action with mental well-being at the center.
Core Components:
1)Bal Bhumi Baithak: Experiential sessions in schools and communities using art, storytelling, and eco-mindfulness to build climate awareness and emotional resilience, facilitated by trained youth fellows.
2)Youth Fellowship: A fellowship for youth from affected and marginalized backgrounds, offering training in climate education, emotional first aid, and community leadership. Fellows lead local projects like green corners and awareness drives.
3)Community Support Circles (Chaupals): Monthly informal gatherings to encourage intergenerational dialogue on climate stress, traditional resilience practices, and collective coping-co-hosted with local CBOs and frontline workers.
